2026 Letter of Intent - Trauma Research Scholarship

Thank you for submitting your Letter of Intent for the Trauma Research Scholarship.  The amount of each award is $40,000 for one (1) year only.  All Letters of Intent must be submitted by May 13, 2025 for consideration.

Following receipt of the Letters of Intent, the Research-Scholarship Committee along with the Research Division Chair will judge the Letters of Intent on the basis of the merit of their research proposals, the potential of the applicant of future contributions to the science and practice of the surgery of trauma, and the applicant’s mentor support and dedication of the research proposal.  The top-ranked Letters of Intent will be invited to submit full proposals by July 31, 2025.  The Research-Scholarship Committee and Research Division Chair will review full proposals in September 2025 and select the final awardee.

Applicants for the Trauma Research Scholarship must have completed their graduate medical education before the award period begins.

Please complete all information being requested.  Incomplete proposals will not be considered.  Please note, applicants do not need to be i) members of the EAST or ii) within a specific geographic area to submit an application.
