UCSF Fresno has a single PGY-7 AAST Acute Care Surgery Fellowship position available for the 2024-2025 academic year. UCSF Fresno is an ACS Level 1 Trauma Center with a robust Acute Care Surgery practice encompassing emergency general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care. The UCSF Fresno Department of Surgery has 12 dedicated Acute Care Surgery faculty members who work very closely with the fellows. In addition, the department has a general surgical residency with 5 categorical residents per year. The second year fellow functions as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery and will have increasing autonomy throughout the year as appropriate.

Qualifications: UCSF Fresno currently has one vacant PGY-7 Acute Care Surgery Fellowship position available for the 2024-2025 academic year. Successful candidates will have completed a General Surgery Residency and a one-year ACGME-approved Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. Applicants must meet minimum employment requirements as listed on our website and be able to obtain a full California state medical license.
