Renewing is easy with these options:

Online: Sign-in to your EAST member profile and follow the prompts to renew.

Phone: Call the management office at 312-202-5214 for credit card payments.

Mail: Sign-in to your EAST member profile to print your invoice and remit to the address listed on the form.

Auto-Renewal
Enroll in auto-renewal of your EAST membership when you pay your dues this year. Check the box that reads, "I would like to opt in for automatic recurring dues payments," at check out. Opt-out at anytime by visiting the Payment History page in your member profile or contact managementoffice@east.org.Journal of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Subscription
As an EAST member, you can subscribe to the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery for a discounted annual rate of $100. Select this option when you renew and be sure to update your contact information. Your subscription will be mailed to the preferred mailing address on file.Forgot to add your subscription when you renewed? Contact us at managementoffice@east.org.
Update Your Profile & Stay Connected!
Have you recently changed employers or received a promotion and need to update your job title? Update your EAST member profile today! A complete and accurate profile will help foster opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration and help us stay in touch with you! In your profile you can:
- Upload a headshot
- Update your contact information
- Review your organization, department, and title
- Add your speaking and/or research interests
- Identify your specialties from an extensive list of options
- Specify your organization's trauma center level
- Add your military branch, status, and country
- Note your chief residency completion date
- Share links to your social media profiles and to your website or blog
To update or review your contact information:
- Sign in to your EAST member profile.
- Click Member Services on the right-hand side of the page.
- Select Manage Profile from the drop-down menu that appears.
- Review and update your contact information.
- Click Save Changes and Continue.
Want your contact information to be visible to other EAST members? Select "include in Membership Directory" for the contact information that you would like to feature. Select "Preferred" to designate your preferred form of contact with EAST. You can add several mailing addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.
While updating your profile, be sure to add your speaking and research interests and join the growing list of members who speak at local, national, and international conferences. Need a speaker? Visit the EAST Member Directory to search for members by interests and connect with your next presenter today.

Retired
Have you retired from practice? Members who have retired from full-time practice may be eligible for a change in membership status to Emeritus. Emeritus members do not pay annual membership dues.Per the EAST Bylaws, "Emeritus members shall not vote, hold office or serve on Committees and Taskforces. They may attend the Association’s annual business meetings and all other Association functions open to Association members."

Recently Board Certified
Are you a Provisional member who has recently become board certified in surgery? Email a copy of your board certificate or letter from the Board documenting successful completion of the oral exam to EAST so that we may convert you to Active membership. You may email this information to managementoffice@east.org.It is to your advantage to become an Active member, as Active members are able to vote, serve on all EAST Committees and hold office - functions that Provisional members cannot perform. Reinstatement
Has your membership been resigned due to non-payment? You are welcome to re-join. Applications are accepted annually between July 1st and November 15th. Visit the Join EAST page and reapply. We have streamlined the membership application process and no longer require letters of recommendation. It only takes a few minutes to apply!Contact managementoffice@east.org if you have any questions.
Delinquent Payments
Member renewals are required annually to maintain your membership in EAST. Renewals for 2025 are due by December 31, 2024. If a member fails to pay the applicable dues by January 1st , they will be considered delinquent in their payment, but remain in good standing and provided a grace period until the end of February of said membership year to pay their dues.
If a member fails to pay their dues on or before the end of February of said membership year, their membership shall be automatically suspended until their dues are paid in full. During any period of suspension, the suspended member shall not enjoy any membership rights or privileges.
If a suspended member fails to pay their dues by June 30th of said membership year, the member will be deemed to have voluntarily terminated their membership as of July 1st, without having to provide notice of the same. Thereafter, the terminated member shall be required to reapply for membership in the same manner as any individual seeking to become a member for the first time. Dues are non-refundable.
