Physician Job Description
The trauma team at CoxHealth is seeking a BC/BE trauma and critical care surgeon with skills in critical care and trauma surgery to extend high-level care to patients in southwest Missouri. The position would provide acute care surgery, on-call trauma surgery, and critical care management services to a Level 1 trauma center in Springfield, MO.

Physicians would join a growing team of trauma surgeons and sub-specialty surgeons serving a large tertiary care center, Cox Medical Center South. The team is currently staffed by four trauma/critical care surgeons with assistance from a team of advanced practice providers. Call is 1:6. New partners must be able to work well with various members of the medical community in a fast-paced hospital setting. Candidates must have excellent surgical and critical care management skills and trauma/critical care fellowship.
