Trauma/ACS Surgeon

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is currently seeking a full time Trauma/ACS surgeons to join the group at Allegheny General Hospital (Level I center) and Forbes Hospital (Level II center).
Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), offers medical care to Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas as a mature trauma center and quaternary referral center. Allegheny General offers its patients state-of-the art surgical suites, innovative technology, and advanced medical treatments for more than 3500 trauma patients/year as well as a large ACS population in this 600 bed facility. The Trauma/ACS team is supported by a large General Surgery residency (6 chiefs/year), Surgical Critical Care fellowship, Critical Care APP fellowship, physician assistant/nurse practitioners, and administrative staff.

Forbes Hospital is located in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, 20 minutes east of downtown Pittsburgh. Forbes Hospital developed its accredited Level II Trauma Program in January 2013 and has since become a busy center, seeing more than 1400 trauma patients/year and providing acute care surgery coverage in this well-known tertiary referral center. As a 350-bed facility with full subspecialty support, the Trauma team is also supported by general surgery residents, a large complement of APP’s, and dedicated administration from the hospital and network.

The qualified candidates should be board certified in Surgery and board eligible in Surgical Critical Care and have outstanding clinical skills and a dedication to education and research. The ability to obtain and maintain a Pennsylvania Medical License and privileges with AHN are required.
