We have a large cohort of mid-level providers (NP’s, PA’s) who provide 75% of the bedside ICU care. Industry and NIH-funded trauma-critical care research is an important component of the Division’s activities. The hospital administration is highly supportive of the Trauma Center and has creative strategies for the support of trauma and Critical Care for the UMass Memorial Healthcare System, including a new and expanded eICU function.
