Trauma Critical Care Sugeon

Ascension Medical Group is seeking a Trauma Surgeon board certified/eligible in Surgical Critical Care for acute care and level II trauma coverage at Ascension Seton Hays Hospital. We are the largest medical campus in Hays County with a state of the art hospital, outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services and a medical office building, located just 20 miles south of Austin, TX.


Position Details:

*Part of core group of trauma surgeons that share in primary and back up trauma call coverage and rounding to promote continuity of care.

*6-24 hour primary and back up calls per month with 24/7 APP coverage

*Meeting attendance for trauma ACS designation/operations, QI efforts, and trauma peer review

*Acute Care and Level II Trauma Coverage

*Staff Surgical ICU

*Staff/oversight of surgery follow up clinic, after hospital discharge

*No elective surgery practice required
