Trauma Surgeon
Loyola University Health System and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine seek an exceptional individual to join the Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Division. Loyola is a busy ACS verified Level 1 trauma center and ACS/ABA approved Burn Center located in Maywood, on the western edge of Chicago. The Division has an active Acute Care Surgery Service with an in-house 24-7 attending presence. Primary duties encompass Trauma, SICU and Emergency General Surgery coverage. Additional responsibilities include medical student and graduate medical education. There is an SCC fellowship. The clinical and educational programs are closely aligned with the Burn Shock Trauma Research Institute (BSTRI). The BSTRI programs include ongoing basic, translational and clinical trial activities in wound healing, acute kidney injury, brain injury, fracture healing and alcohol associated injuries.
A medical degree and board certification (and/or eligibility) in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care are required. This is a full-time faculty position. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Weinberg Emergency Department, the Loyola Center for Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Care and the Loyola Cancer Care & Research Facility at the Marjorie G. Weinberg Cancer Center. MacNeal is a 374-licensed-bed teaching hospital in Berwyn with advanced medical, surgical and psychiatric services, acute rehabilitation, an inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program and community clinics.
