Chief of Division of Trauma, Acute Care and Burn Surgery - Open Rank Faculty

The Department of Surgery at MUSC Charleston is seeking qualified applicants for a Chief of Division of Trauma, Acute Care and Burn Surgery. The Division currently has a solid clinical, research and educational foundation with fourteen surgeons in an academic medical center. MUSC is an ACS-COT Level I Trauma Center. The Division oversees a dedicated 16 bed surgical trauma and burn ICU which is staffed by APPs and surgical residents and supports a three fellow per year accredited surgical critical care fellowship. The fellowship also has optional second year acute care surgery and burn tracks.

The ideal candidate would have an established record of managing and growing a strong clinical practice, a track record of academic productivity, a national presence and leadership experience in a matrixed health care environment. There are significant growth opportunities in an expanding department and health care system to create statewide networks and provide alignment with a growing Divisional research portfolio.
