Assistant/Associate Professor - Acute Care Surgeon

The Department of Surgery invites applications for two board-certified/eligible Acute Care Surgeons to join our team in a dynamic academic clinical-track position as Assistant/Associate Professors. Successful candidates will play a vital role in our Level 1 trauma and acute care surgical center, as well as our Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

Clinical responsibilities will encompass comprehensive trauma patient care, ICU management, and general emergency surgery. A key aspect of this position is the opportunity to educate and mentor general surgery residents and medical students, fostering the next generation of surgical professionals. This position offers some unique opportunities through our partnership with the global surgery fellowship. These two new positions have become available due to the growth in this region and offer the chance to help build and change healthcare in the Appalachian region.
