I donate to the EAST Development Fund because as a Junior Faculty academic surgeon EAST has been the single-most influential society during my young career. EAST provides the tools for young surgeons to get involved early and often. Through committee work, multicenter trials or EAST PMG development, there is an opportunity at every corner. Perhaps most importantly, EAST provides a robust group of engaged and thoughtful senior mentors that are dedicated to mentoring junior surgeons.
