As the 2025 EAST Annual Scientific Assembly Advancing Science Scholarship winner, I had the opportunity to participate not only as an assistant but also had the great honor of presenting my research in a podium presentation, which gave me more visibility to demonstrate what I have been researching at the Pascual basic science TBI Lab.
EAST is a fantastic association that seeks to support minorities, and I feel honored to represent one of them as an international female surgeon and a mother. I hope to continue participating in the following conferences to build a network and research collaborations.
