The EAST Multicenter Trial Junior Investigator Award helped me elevate my study improving trauma triage for severely injured patients to a national stage. Through this trial, I was able to make connections with other trauma programs and make invaluable connections (and friends!). EAST transforms small, isolated research projects into multicenter collaborations giving us the information we need to make sustained changes in trauma systems. This opportunity was made possible through the EAST Development Fund. I am proud to be a part of the EAST community and deeply appreciate the opportunity to optimize trauma triage for our patients.
