I was honored to receive the John M. Templeton, Jr., MD Military Call to Service Scholarship, which supported my continued development as a military trauma surgeon. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, I have remained committed to advancing trauma care in both military and civilian settings. My work has focused on improving outcomes in combat-related injuries and applying those insights to strengthen trauma systems at home. Attending the EAST Annual Scientific Assembly through this scholarship provided invaluable opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and growth. I’m deeply grateful to EAST for its investment in military surgeons and its ongoing support of our mission.
