Statement of Need:
Population statistics indicate a growing elderly population. This correlates to an increasing incidence of geriatric trauma encounters for traumatic injury in hospitals. There are currently no practice management guidelines specific to the care of the elderly patient.
We aim to identify vulnerable geriatric patients and those patients who will benefit from a health care provider with geriatric expertise.
